AIMS Research Foundation

The AIMS Research Foundation is a division of the American Institute of Management Sciences (AIMS), which conducts and sponsors research into a number of fields within the Management Sciences, with a focus in the stewardship of industry knowledge, original research and contribution to the filed, and providing real value to people and the industry. AIMS conducts and sponsors research designed to develop innovative solutions to the world’s most daunting management challenges.

Industry Knowledge

Stewardship of Industry Knowledge in the Management Sciences is broadly defined as the discipline of constantly identifying and evaluating advanced systematic methods to help make better management decisions. The field of Management Science is characterized by its broad applicability and by a wide variety of the career opportunities and the work styles it embraces. It is also characterized by its interdisciplinary nature.

Original Research

AIMS conducts and sponsors research designed to develop innovative solutions to the world’s most daunting management challenges. From addressing the energy needs of tomorrow to improving basic decision-making skills, AIMS’s research efforts are enhanced through creative collaborations with thought leading individuals and likeminded institutions around the world. If you have an area of research you would like to propose, or feel you have the time and talent to conduct AIMS sponsored research, please contact us.

Real Value

We contend that Management Science must focus on providing real value to people, organizations, and societies. One measurement of this value is monetary, so each element of our research must address monetary value. However, there are other value systems that are preeminent to monetary value, including social value, cultural value, personal ethics, and so on. We strongly suggest and strive to ensure that all AIMS sponsored research address additional value systems beyond monetary whenever appropriate.

Call for Papers

From time-to-time, but at least once a year, AIMS publishes an editorial schedule and issues calls for papers from industry professionals. Beginning in 2011 AIMS is posting call for papers to populate its primary journal “AIMS Journal of Management Science”. Each journal has a specific topic and area of research concerning a discipline in the field of Management Science. An editor’s topic schedule is published at least 4 months before each publication. Article submittals undergo two reviews, a peer review, and then selection for publication by a Congress formed for each publication.
